Wolfe Systems celebrates WA DAY 2020!!

Whenever I think of WA Day (formally Foundation Day), I think of myself at primary school running around with my beautiful bowl cut mullet (we didn’t need isolation back then to have a family member cut hair- Thanks mum!), wearing those very vintage 80s black swan commemoration t-shirts!  We learnt all about maps, Captain Stirling and we even had special guests like WA premier Brian Burke and old faithful Chris Mills from local regional broadcaster GWN.

The originals of WA Day  commemorates the founding of the Swan River Colony in 1829 by Captain Stirling. It’s a time to celebrate what it means to be a Sandgroper, a time to learn about the early European settlers, recognising our Aboriginal history and the many many people who have settled here from all over the world who have made, and continue to make, WA their home.

Its a day to celebrate all West Australians and you can too. Recognise Your WA Day Hero. This might be a parent, a friend, someone who is volunteering or someone has really stepped up during the crisis or lockdown. You can celebrate them and show the rest of us how awesome they are by downloading a certificate here or by getting your copy in The West Australian or The Sunday Times on WA Day long weekend. #WADayHero
